- How should I make my check out?
When donating to the Community Foundation, make your check payable to "Branch County Community Foundation". If there is a particular fund or funds you'd like your contribution to support, put the name of the fund in the memo line of the check.
- Can I donate stock?
Yes. Our staff can assist you with making a transfer directly from your brokerage account.
- What's the difference between a Community Foundation and a Commercial Gift Fund?
The Community Foundation is different from a commercial gift fund, like Fidelity, in that we offer more charitable products at the same, or less, service charge than commercial gift funds. We also offer the local, professional expertise of our staff to help connect you to the community causes you care about.
