The Branch County Community Foundation (BCCF) is pleased to announce the opening of its 2025 scholarship application cycle. Beginning December 1, eligible students can apply for more than 30 scholarship opportunities through a single, streamlined application.
Scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors and current college students who graduated from or reside in Branch County or Colon, Michigan. Applicants must be pursuing a certification, trade school diploma, two-year degree, or four-year undergraduate degree at an appropriately accredited institution. Because eligibility requirements vary across scholarships, BCCF encourages all students seeking higher education to apply.
Applications will close on Friday, March 6 at 3:00 p.m. Students can find detailed instructions, application guidance, and a video walkthrough on the BCCF website.
As part of this year’s scholarship cycle, BCCF is proud to introduce two new scholarship funds:
CHS Class of 1993: Another Brick in the Wall Scholarship
Created by the CHS Class of 1993, this scholarship supports a hardworking CHS graduating senior who demonstrates dedication and effort, regardless of having a perfect GPA. The award reflects the class’s commitment to uplifting students who persevere and strive toward their goals.
CHS Swim and Dive Scholar Scholarship
This scholarship recognizes CHS students who have participated on the CHS Swim and Dive team, are involved in swimming beyond the regular season, and have achieved high academic performance. The fund celebrates excellence both in the pool and in the classroom.
“The Branch County Community Foundation is honored to administer a wide array of scholarships that invest directly in the future of our local students,” said Erica Heminger, Executive Director of the Branch County Community Foundation. “We are grateful to the donors and community members who make these opportunities possible.”
BCCF looks forward to supporting another successful scholarship season. Students with questions or those needing assistance with the application process are encouraged to contact the Foundation office.
The Branch County Community Foundation is committed to strengthening and enriching
the quality of life in Branch County and Colon by connecting donors with community needs and supporting educational, charitable, and civic initiatives.
