Branch County Community Foundation's Youth Advisory Council Welcomes Eight New Members

The Branch County Community Foundation (BCCF) is thrilled to introduce eight new members to its Youth Advisory Council (YAC). This vibrant group of young leaders is set to make waves in our community, and their addition marks an exciting upcoming program year for YAC. This year, YAC is particularly excited to announce that they now have representation from every school district covered by the Branch County Community Foundation.

YAC, the Community Foundation's youth philanthropy initiative, brings together adult mentors and young people aged 12-21 from Branch County and Colon, Michigan. Together, YAC addresses local youth needs, assists in fund development, and directs grants towards programs that benefit the younger generation. By involving youth in visioning and decision-making, YAC ensures that the voices of the next generation are heard and valued.

Let's meet the newest members who will be shaping the future of our community:


  • Abby Hicks – Coldwater High School Class of 2025

Abby Hicks is a creative force with a passion for art, music, and design. Her interests in these areas reflect her vibrant and imaginative spirit, which she is eager to bring to the YAC.


  • Elizabeth Vogler – Coldwater High School Class of 2028

Elizabeth is a dedicated volunteer who plays a pivotal role as the Youth Coordinator at the Branch Area Food Pantry. Her commitment to community service and her enthusiasm for helping others make her a valuable addition to the YAC.


  • Gwen Eby – Coldwater High School Class of 2028

A passionate runner, Gwen Eby is a key member of both the Cross Country and Track Teams. Her dedication to sports and her energetic personality will undoubtedly contribute to the YAC’s mission.


  • James Wells – Colon High School Class of 2028

James Wells is known for his collaborative spirit and his desire to assist others. His enthusiasm for working within his community aligns perfectly with the YAC's goals.


  • Kailynne Scare – Bronson High School Class of 2025

Kailynne is an all-around athlete who participates in Cheer, Wrestling, and Softball. Her involvement in various sports reflects her teamwork skills and commitment, qualities that will be an asset to the YAC.


  • Madelynn Grife – Coldwater High School Class of 2026

Madelynn Grife is active in multiple clubs and is known for her dedication to community service and relationship building. Her broad range of interests and involvement will enhance the YAC’s community outreach efforts.


  • Paige Scott – Colon High School Class of 2025

Paige Scott brings her theatrical talents to the YAC. As a member of her local Drama Clubs in Colon and Mendon, Paige’s creativity and leadership in the arts will add a unique perspective to the council.


  • Reuben Fronczak – Coldwater High School Class of 2027

Reuben Fronczak is an experienced Boy Scout with a background in leadership and community service. His skills and dedication to serving others will contribute greatly to the YAC’s objectives.


Each new member brings a unique set of skills, interests, and experiences to the YAC, ensuring a rich diversity of perspectives and ideas. As they step into their roles, they are poised to make a significant impact on their communities, helping to direct resources and initiatives that address local youth needs.


The Branch County Community Foundation and YAC are excited to see the new members’ contributions and to witness the positive changes they will undoubtedly bring. Welcome aboard, Abby, Elizabeth, Gwen, James, Kailynne, Madelynn, Paige, and Reuben! Your journey with YAC begins now, and we can’t wait to see the great things you’ll accomplish.
