The Branch County Community Foundation is proud to announce that in 2026, we are awarding $80,500 in scholarships to students pursuing higher education. This investment represents more than financial support, it reflects our community’s shared commitment to opening doors and expanding opportunities through education.
What makes the Community Foundation’s scholarship program especially meaningful is the personal connection behind each award. Many of our scholarships have been established in memory or in honor of individuals whose values and passions continue to shape our community. Through the generosity of families, friends, and local supporters, these legacies live on by helping students take the next step toward their goals.
We believe there is no single path to success, which is why our scholarships support a wide range of educational pursuits. Whether students are enrolled in skilled trades and vocational programs, pursuing a two-year degree, or working toward a four-year bachelor’s degree, these funds are designed to meet them where they are. Notably, 18% of this year’s awards were granted to students who are currently continuing their education, reinforcing our commitment to supporting students throughout their academic journey, not just at the starting line.
“At the Community Foundation, we’re not only focused on helping students begin their education, we’re dedicated to helping them finish strong,” said Erica Heminger, Executive Director of the Branch County Community Foundation, “Each scholarship reflects a belief in the potential of our students and the future of our community.”
All 2026 scholarship recipients will be announced on our website, with student stories and achievements highlighted across our social media channels throughout the summer.
