Educational Mini Grant Recipients


The Branch County Community Foundation (BCCF) held Educational Mini-Grant Cycles in April for Bronson, Coldwater, and Quincy Schools. The Yes for Bronson Fund, the Coldwater Community Schools Enrichment Fund, and the Quincy Educational Endowment Fund were all created to support programs and initiatives that promote excellence in education and high achievement with the goal of expanding and diversifying experiences.


We are excited to announce the 2023 Educational Mini-Grant recipients! This year, a total of $12,156.41 was granted from the three different funds to the 16 different projects and programs that are listed below.




Coldwater Community Schools Enrichment Fund Recipients – Total of $5,319.68

  • Aaron Wood - Grant to purchase Capos for his Guitar students.

  • Aaron Wood - Funds will be used to purchase more sheet music for the band program.

  • Keith Johnson - Grant will be used to purchase a NASA Air Rocket Launcher Kit and an Ender 5 Plus 3D Printer for Applied Engineering class at the Middle School.

  • Janette Jones – Funds are for the purchase of a rug & resource books for the young 5's through 1st-grade art classroom.

  • Chelsea Wilber - A grant to purchase supplies for the High School Art room.

  • Robert Hostetler - Funds will be used to purchase equipment to expand opportunity for student observation in his Chemistry Classroom.



Quincy Educational Endowment Fund Recipients – Total of $4,836.73

  • Anna Brewer – Grant funds will be used to purchase Story Baskets for developmental kindergarteners.

  • Elizabeth Curran – Funds will be used to purchase Headphones for her classroom.

  • Jennifer Benson – Grant to purchase a 3-D Printer.

  • Judy Wendorf – Funds will purchase Sensory Supplies for DK – 4th-grade Emotional Support Room.

  • Katie Harmon – Grant for the purchase of supplies for a Library Area in her classroom.

  • Maureen Suever – Grant funds will be used to purchase Math Frog Games.

  • Megan Januszka – Grant to purchase New Calculators for 8th-grade math classroom.

  • Shari Tarnow – Funds will be used to purchase new educational Magazines for the media center.



Yes for Bronson Fund Recipients – Total of $2,000

  • Elaine Ferry – Grant to purchase bean bag chairs for the Brain Brake area.

  • Cory Champion – Grant to purchase an annual subscription to SoundTrap, an online recording application that allows students to practice with accompaniment tracks


The Educational Mini-Grant cycles for Bronson, Coldwater, and Quincy are open in April each year. Each fund has its own criteria, which can be found on our website, and its own selection committee.
