The Branch County Community Foundation is seeking a Program and Communications Officer to support grantmaking, scholarship programs, communications, and administrative operations. This role is ideal for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and managing multiple responsibilities.
Hours: Up to 35 hours per week (hourly)
Compensation: $16.00–$22.00/hour
Benefits: May include flexible schedule, paid time off, holiday pay, retirement, health insurance, professional memberships, and other benefits per employment policies.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate grant and scholarship application, review, and award processes
Manage gift entry, acknowledgments, and donor records in accounting software
Process invoices and assist with accounts payable and financial tracking
Provide customer service and communication support for donors, fund advisors, and community partners
Assist with marketing and communications, including media releases, website updates, social media, and the annual report
Provide administrative support for the Executive Director, Board, and committees
Support planning and implementation of organizational and community network events
Maintain accurate records in database and grant management systems
Qualifications
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Database experience preferred; familiarity with accounting or data management is a plus
